How to Defrag Disk Drives in Windows 7

For smoother computer performance, one should regularly look after the maintenance of the computer. This makes your computer more faster as because it cleans unwanted things from it. Disk Defragment is a part of it, which helps you to make your PC much faster by defragging the disks of your Computer.
Disk Defragment consolidates fragmented files on the computer’s hard disk to improve the computer system performance. It is an easy task and can be done within few simple steps. There are many softwares available in the market to do so, they consist of different ways to defragment the disk. Windows 7 comes with the inbuilt Disk Defragment tool, which enables you to defrag the fragmented files in your disk drives. Here is a little guide on how you can do so.

- Go to Start>>Accessories>>System Tools>>Disk Defragmenter. This will open the Disk Defragmenter tool on your PC.
- Now, you can see the disk drives of your PC. Before doing defragment, you have to Analyze the disk whether it needs defragment or not. To do so, just click on the disk drive and hit the Analyze disk button.
- If the disk drive needs to be defragmented after analyzing it, you can choose the Defragment disk option to do so.
It will take some time to defragment the disk drive on your PC, depending on the fragmented files size.
